Here is the second of the unit cards from the unaligned faction. A collection of models that can be used by any core faction strike team to supplement their force.

The Sellswords are as common as dirt and about as clean. They have moderate skill with a blade, no sense of belonging and a love for marks. These are not the trained and disciplined blades of a La’Certa private company, but they are dangerous nonetheless.

Check out the sculpt of the Gatekeeper Mage miniature! One Gatekeeper Mage will be included in the starter set. Masters of the etheric world between worlds, Gatekeepers learn how to open portals to let their allies travel great distances, crossing the battlefield in the blink of an eye. They are a member of the Towerfaction.

Not only can the Gatekeeper open and seal gates linking far parts of the battlefield, he can also create lethal trap wards able to eliminate an enemy the moment they are triggered.

Check out the sculpt of the Enchanter Mage miniature! One Enchanter Mage will be included in the starter set. Enchanters focus on enhancing the abilities of others by channelling aetheric energies through their allies bodies. They are a member of the Tower faction.

The Enchanter is able to enhance the powers of his allies, boosting their attributes, allowing them to deal more damage and even take additional actions.

Check out the sculpt of the Arc Mage miniature! Two Arc Mages will be included in the starter set. Skilled with using both fire and lightning to stun enemies and dish out damage. They are a member of the Tower faction.

Perhaps the most common enforcer agent on Tower strike teams. Unsubtle, but effective, they are not keen on the nickname “sparky”, often used in a derogatory fashion by higher ranked tower mages.

Check out the magical sculpt of the Aegis Mage miniature! One Aegis Mage will be included in the starter set. The Aegis mage is an expert at blocking access and protecting both himself and others. They are a member of the Tower faction.

Most mages climb the hierarchy of the Tower by employing a good dose of fire magic in spell duels Whilst the barriers and shields of the Aegis Mage are a less common tactic, they can be equally effective.

Here is the first of the unit cards from the last faction. The unaligned, a collection of models that can be used by any core faction strike team to supplement their force.

The first is the Deneb Militiaman. Once part of the proud and noble enforcers of mortal justice in Deneb, now reduced to a shadow of their former selves. Still, they were probably closer to Sul than any other humans alive.

The last two unit cards for the Shadow faction have been completed. The Carcano has already been integrated into the current version of the rules. The next update to the rules will also include the unit card for the Spia.

The Carcano a sniper who uses a composite bow to deliver death from afar. The Carcano is the longest ranged model in the game and the Spia, a model capable of hiding amongst your enemies troops. She can even score objectives using your opponents' models.

Latest sculpt is here for the Wood Mother miniature! One Wood Mother will be included in the starter set. This witch has a powerful connection to nature. She is able to call on aid from her Grimalkin feline companion, as well as shapeshift into a Raven to move around the battlefield with ease. Wood Mothers are a member of the Coven faction.

Small woodland communities are frequently strongholds for Coven support, and it’s no coincidence that many members learn the craft’s connection to nature first and foremost.

Check out the beautiful sculpt for the Axeman miniature! Two Axemen will be included in the starter set. These woodsmen are as adept at cutting down soldiers as they are at felling trees. They are a member of the Coven faction.

Though far from common, there are many men who align themselves with the Coven. 

Check out the beautiful sculpt for the Blood Mother miniature! The Blood Mother will be included in the starter set, she is a dangerous witch and a member of the Coven faction.

Witches are often subject to frightening and bizarre exaggeration or vilification. Portrayed as monsters who seduce husbands, lead wives astray, murder children and eat the flesh of babies. In most cases, this is just old superstition and propaganda disseminated by the Covens enemies. Blood Mothers are not “most cases”!

One of the other very cool pieces we got as part of the prototype print was the unit cards. Each model in Deneb has a matching unit card which you use during play to reference a models attributes and rules. They are a little larger than normal cards to allow as much rule explanation as possible.

Along with the lovely box and Marketplace cards (and counters!), the prototype print also included these nice card tiles that are used to build-up the battlefield that strike teams in Deneb will fight on. Movement and measurement in Deneb are handled with a clear and easy to understand grid system.
